Today, conservative businesswoman and Republican candidate for Congress Genevieve Collins announced

DALLAS – Today, conservative businesswoman and Republican candidate for Congress Genevieve Collins unveiled two new members of her campaign team - Finance Chairman Joe Popolo and Grassroots Chairman David Carruth.

Joe Popolo is the CEO of Charles & Potomac Capital, LLC, a private investment firm focused on technology, energy and real estate. From 1997-2019, Joe helped to transform the Freeman Company, into the world’s leading live event brand experience agency. As president for eight years and CEO for 11, Joe and his team tripled the size of Dallas-based Freeman to $3B in revenue. Mr. Popolo has a BS in finance from Boston College and an MBA in finance and economics from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. He has been recognized by EY as an Entrepreneur of the Year Award winner in 2013 and by the Dallas Business Journal as one of its Most Admired CEOs in 2018.

“I am so happy to join Genevieve Collins’ campaign as Finance Chairman. Genevieve stands out not only in her willingness to lead, but to listen and connect with the North Texas community,” said Popolo. “In just five months, Genevieve’s campaign has demonstrated remarkable success in raising the funds necessary to bring the 32nd district back into the party of freedom and opportunity this November. I look forward to helping Gen make sure we have the resources to spread our message of small government and Texas values.”

David Carruth has been a real estate developer for many years developing office buildings, condominiums, apartments, subdivisions and homes. David has controlled and operated a variety of other companies including a freight airline, restaurants, retail clothing stores, a bus manufacturer and other manufacturing firms. He is active in political organizations and served as President of the 1836 PAC and the Texans for Conservative Principles PAC, and is active with American Liberty Forum and other conservative groups.  He holds a Juris Doctor degree from Southern Methodist University and a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the University of Texas.

“I have spent decades in Dallas’ conservative grassroots community, and I know a conservative when I see one. Whether it’s her stance on securing the border, fighting for a business-friendly regulatory environment or finally passing term limits, Genevieve is the Republican candidate who will fight for our Texas conservative principles in Congress,” added Carruth.  “Genevieve has the momentum in this race when it comes to endorsements and grassroots energy.  I’m thrilled to join the team and help build that momentum as we rapidly approach the March 3rd primary election. I urge conservatives across the 32nd district to join me in supporting Genevieve Collins for Congress."

“I am thrilled to welcome Joe and David to my campaign team. Their decades of experience in North Texas politics truly speaks for itself,” said Collins. “They have both been on the front lines fighting for our Texas conservative principles - Joe in the finance community, and David in the grassroots community. As our campaign continues to grow in size and momentum, with Joe and David’s help, I believe it will be clear to 32nd district voters who the proven, conservative choice is to take on Colin Allred and flip the 32nd in November.
